United Nations General Assembly Resolution
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A United Nations General Assembly Resolution is voted on by all member states of the United Nations in the General Assembly and requires a simple majority (50% of all votes plus one) to pass (with the exception of 'important questions which require two-thirds majority').
Although General Assembly resolutions are non-binding towards members states, internal resolutions may be binding on the operation of the GA itself, for example with regard to budgetary and procedural matters.
