Unlicensed Personal Communications Services
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Unlicensed Personal Communications Services operate in the 1920-1930 MHz frequency bands and are used for short range applications. Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications DECT 6.0 wireless protocol uses these frequencies.
Prior to an FCC rules change in April 2005, the band included 1910-1930 MHz and 2390-2400 MHz frequency bands. It was used for a variety of short range communications including point to point microwave links.
