[edit] Biography
Unorthodox rose from the ashes of Obstination and were originally called Asylum. They changed their name to Unorthodox after a band with a similar name hit it big.[1] They were one of many Maryland bands to be picked up in the early 90s by Germany's Hellhound Records.[1] They released two albums, 1993's Asylum and 1995's Balance of Power.
In 1994 Doom Records released an album entitled A Double Dose of Doom featuring Obstination and Rat Salad (who would go on to become Iron Man). Obstination features Dale Flood and the record features an Asylum song.
The band has been on again, off again but is still together. Recently they had a song, "Lifeline," on Doom Capital (2004 Crucial Blast Records).
