Václav Emanuel Horák

Václav Emanuel Horák (German : Wenzel Emanuel Horák) (1800-1871) was a Bohemian composer and church musician.

Horák visited the High School in Prague starting from 1813 and worked at the same time as a singer boy and later than Choralist at the pc. Niklas church in Prague small side. At the Prager university it studied first philosophy and late jurisprudence. Musical training with Wenzel Tomaschek, wished by it, remained malfunctioned for it because of shortage of money, but could become it late pupil of the Mozartianer Friedrich Dionys weber and Johann August Wittasek. Around 1830 Horák organist became to the Prager Dreifaltigkeitskirche and short time later also a teacher at the Prager organ school. 1833 it became organist to the Teinkirche, 1837 director of choir to the Franziskanerkirche Maria Schnee and 1853 of rain chori to the Adalbertskirche. 1859 he became director/conductor of the church music to the Teinkirche. Numerous combinations and academies lent the honorary membership, under it also the Mozarteum in Salzburg to it.

Horák is obligated to teachers of the classical period by its. Its minted more singable and harmoniously well underpinned set and its obliging/pleasing treatment of the orchestra work captivatingly and it are among the best masters of the church music of its time to be ranked. Its church works - twelve fairs , a Requiem , a passion , Motetten and religious of songs - found far spreading and live still today. It published also two singing schools and wrote a writing over the ambiguity of the chords .
