WP Former Countries - Things to do:

I think every bit of Dravida, both unconventionally and conventionally, is far more ancient than anything in Vanga or Bengal, and the deduction that Vangas went to Kerala and gave rise to any dynasty there, just on the basis of the Odra-Udra similarity is utter crap, and I have deleted the same.

Also there are many articles from Sri Lanka itself that clearly state that both their legends and modern studies seem to suggest that the first inhabitants of the land were migrants from South India and from Western Indian regions like Gujarat and Sindh. Nowhere does Bengal come into the picture.
