This template employs intricate features of template syntax. Please do not alter it unless you understand its setup and parser functions and are ready to repair or revert all collateral damage if results are unexpected. Any experiments should be conducted and all improvements tested in either the template sandbox or your user space before changing anything here.

The {{Vancouverproject}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

General parameters:

• class – a rating of the article's quality; see Wikipedia:WikiProject Organized Labour/Assessment for more details. Valid values are:
  • FA - The article has reached Featured article status.
  • A - Could be submitted as a Featured article candidate; probably could use some small updates to make it Featured quality.
  • GA - The article has reached Good article status.
  • B - Could be submitted as a Good article nominee; probably could use some updates or may lack some features from the Good article criteria, but it presents a good overview of the subject.
  • Start - The article is more than a stub, but may lack some important aspects of the topic's discussion.
  • Stub - The article is a stub; it likely contains one of the Trade union stub templates.
  • NA - The page is not an article and should not be rated; it could be a template, image or category, for example.
• importance - a rating of the article's importance; see Wikipedia:WikiProject Organized Labour/Assessment for more details. Valid values are:
  • Top - Reserved for the primary articles on Vancouver. These are considered fundamental to the topic.
  • High - Major --- please update---
  • Mid - General --- please update---
  • Low - Minor --- please update---
  • No - Used only for disputed articles. Provide discussion related to the rating, as this rating is likely to be removed or replaced on sight.
• city - a designation for which GVRD city the article is related to. Editors are encouraged to use this, but it is not mandatory.

  • Rich - Richmond
  • Surrey - Surrey
  • Tri - Tri-Cities area
  • Delta - Delta
  • NVan - City and District of North Vancouver
  • NVanC - City of North Vancouver
