Vary is a DC-based theatre professional in her late twenties. She has a Master's degree in Stage Management and a liberal arts education. She refers to herself in the third person on her user page as an excuse to make blatant use of gender-specific pronouns, due to her rather androgynous user name. She became an admin in March of 2006.
Vary has the misfortune of sharing a legal name with several people who lead much more interesting lives than she does, including an author of self-help books and a participant in a minor sex scandal. Having been mistaken for these luminaries one too many times, she now prefers to avoid using her name in large forums such as Wikipedia. Her Wikipedia user name is taken from a minor character from the works of an author she admires.
Vary sometimes forgets to use the preview button when editing talk pages, and leaves this sentence on her user page to remind herself not to do that.
