Vaughan City Council is the governing body of the city of Vaughan, Ontario, Canada.

[edit] 2006 Elections
On 13 November 2006, elections were held for City Council. In the elections, Regional Councilor Linda Jackson became mayor (pending a decision by the Ontario Superior Court), Gino Rosati became a Regional Councilor, and Joyce Frustaglio, having received the most votes of all regional council candidates, becomes Deputy Mayor. Unlike previous councils, which were elected to three year terms, this City Council will hold office for four years.
