Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!
Also, please note that it would probably be best for you to be adding OGame-related information to the OGame article directly, rather than creating sub-pages, as this is much more the Wikipedia style. The links above will help you with information related to Wikipedia style guidelines. --Darkwind 05:57, Feb 21, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Ogame
Please stop creating Ogame sub-pages that contain only lists. Anything you have to contribute would be very welcome in the Ogame main article. :) – ClockworkSoul 05:59, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Vegso, just put make a heading for the subsection by using equals signs; ==Ships==, ==Technology==, etc. Cheers. ~Shiri 06:06, Feb 21, 2005 (UTC)
Stop editing Ogame/index. I have transferred the content to OGame. -- RHaworth 06:45, 2005 Feb 21 (UTC)
One more thing; don't copy-paste the information from the Ogame forums, as I can recognize. Rewrite it, and take out the NPOV stuff (Destroyers, my favorite ships, etc.). Don't forget, that stuff has a lot of spelling errors, 'cause English isn't their first language. ^_^. ~Shiri 07:28, Feb 21, 2005 (UTC)
Ah. I they looked like they were from the ogame FAQ on the forums. Either way, you can't say something like, "I think," or "They're my favorite ships," on Wikipedia. You're supposed to say stuff in a neutral point of view about a subject. I'm working on an example for you to follow, so wait for my edit. ~Shiri 07:46, Feb 21, 2005 (UTC)
One last thing; when you're editing, make sure to summarize what you did in the edit summary box just above the save page button. Also, if you're only doing a small puctuation or spelling thing, check the "This is a minor edit" box just above the save page button. If you do these things, you won't have stuff deleted or reverted in the future. I'll work on the page tomorrow, but I'm too tired now. ~Shiri 07:56, Feb 21, 2005 (UTC)
