Verdun Auditorium
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Verdun Auditorium is the main arena in the Montreal suburb of Verdun, Quebec, Canada. Historically it has been the "second" arena in Montreal after first the Montreal Forum and then the Bell Centre. Many musical acts played the Auditorium when they "couldn't sell out the Forum", although the Auditorium, as a result, often saw many up-and-coming acts such as Nirvana and Iron Maiden and second-rate celebrities like Gabriel Morency. The building was constructed in 1938 and holds 4,114.
It was also host to various QMJHL teams over the years, including the Verdun Juniors and the Verdun Eperviers.
