It is clearly POV to claim that the belief that the American legal system favours criminals is "backed by reality". Likewise, we can only state that the number of cases where criminals return to attack their previous victims is increasing if we provide a source, and even in that case we can only say that that source indicates that. To claim it outright and unsupported is POV, and the edit removing the reference to the media verged on vandalism. I hope describing this as a "spreading belief" is a form of words acceptable to both sides of the debate. Haeleth July 1, 2005 22:01 (UTC)
