fair use rationale text: This image, Vikrant Hawker.gif, is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (ranam) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because it depicts visually, and for want of freely available images, the scale, magnitude, and efforts of the Indian Navy,in visual terms, in mounting the naval blockade to scupper the Pakistani war effort in the eastern theater during the 1971 war.

The image was taken not from a commercial source, and is not a cause of loss of revenue. Though the images are not in public domain the Indian Information Act states that they can be used to dissipate information. Therefore this image is in fair use.
