Vincent "Vinny" Feeney (aka Vince Feeney) (born 12 May 1973 in the Maugheraboy area of Sligo Town, Ireland) is a former professional boxer.[1] He fought at Bantamweight division but could compete at divisions either side.
Feeney boxed as an amateur for Ireland before turning professional in October 1992, winning his first fight at the Bayswater Arena, London, England, in which Feeney drew with Bradford Bantamweight Adey Benton over six rounds an undercard that included Cornelius Carr.
Feeney fought out of Neadsen in nort west London and the popular fighter attracted a large following amongest the London Irish. Feeney had a bright start to his career and suffer from a number of poor decisions with affect his progress.[2]
Since Feeney's retirement he has trained local youths at various Sligo boxing gyms and is employed as a Corner Inspector for the Boxing Union of Ireland during professional bouts.[3]
