Virinchi was started in 1991 in Hyderabad in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. A team of entrepreneurs, lead by its founder Viswanath software professionals, promoted the company. Leveraging the experience of the promoters in various industry domains, Virinchi entered launched Enterprise Enabler, a web-based comprehensive eProcurement suite, in Malaysia, Singapore and Italy. Impregilo was their first overseas client and Grasim Industries was their first domestic client.
Their initial foray into the South East Asian and European markets was through joint ventures with various individuals and marketing firms.
Virinchi means "the creator" in Sanskrit language.
