Virtually Missouri
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Virtually Missouri brings together collections, databases, and online exhibits from a variety of institutions around Missouri and showcases their broad array of holdings. Collections include images, newspapers, rare books, sound recordings, and cultural objects. The institutions represented are located in Missouri, but the collections span the breadth of time and geography.
Virtually Missouri is the public face of the Missouri Digitization Planning Project (MDPP), which coordinates access to digital collections and exhibits created by the cultural and scientific heritage institutions of Missouri. The MDPP is funded by LSTA (Library Services & Technology Act) funds distributed by the federal Institute of Museum & Library Services and administered through the grant programs of the Missouri State Library, a division of the Secretary of State's Office, Robin Carnahan, Secretary of State.
