Virus Alert is a rock song by "Weird Al" Yankovic on his new 2006 album, Straight Outta Lynwood. A music video was made by David Dobbins.

The song Virus Alert talks about a person who discovers a computer virus with over-exaggerated effects and consequences. It tells many things in order; It starts out with making your computer screen freeze and evolves into "Opening a major rip of time and space and leaving a bunch of Twinkie wrappers all over the place." Although near the end, it explains that it can be prevented by dropping your computer into a 43 ft. hole in the ground and burying it, and even burning all the clothes that you might have worn any time you were online.
At the end of the video, Al is seen pressuring a man to send an email with the subject, "Stinky Cheese" which at the beginning of the song was revealed to be the email containing the computer virus, perhaps suggesting that he was the one behind the virus in the first place.

- Puppy, Hamster, Bunny, Cat, and Satan from the Retarded Animal Babies Flash animation on Newgrounds all make cameo appearances in the video: Hamster when the virus makes the VCR record Gigli, Puppy and Cat when everyone's dogs are neutered, Bunny when the virus deletes all of the easter eggs on the victim's DVDs, and Satan near the end of the video.
Look for the poster for Hypnotic Clambake's "Mayonnaise" CD at the 43 second mark.
