[edit] University of Phoenix
Just curious, I was planning on attending UoP this fall but now after the comments you left in the talk page about your boss throwing resumes with UoP listed I have started to change my mind. UoP is not a "diploma mill" per say but I understand it isn't well respected. Is there any specific reason your boss gives for throwing resumes out with UoP listed? Also, the controversy section of the University of Phoenix was removed and a link was added to a page that has yet to be created. I have been actively trying to add the controversy section because I came here after looking for unbiased information on the school. I, at first, noticed that there was no controversy section and almost browsed off site but I decided to dig further and I noticed that there were a whole slew of reverts going on with people removing and adding it. I jumped into the fray to be the compromising one but I was attacked and reverted. I think other students need to know of any controversy and I think you, having first hand knowledge of bias, need to help remedy the situation by keeping a controversy section on the main page. Yes that was a part question/part comment. Binarypower 05:58, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- Ignore this. I assumed it was you who left this: It is really ridiculous for Wikipedia to not have a controversy section on this topic. The fact that my employer (state government) routinely throws out each and every application that has the University of Phoenix listed on the resume should say something about how they're viewed in the real world, wouldn't you say? At the very least, it needs to be linked to the "Diploma Mill" or "Degree Mill" articles. -- John Binarypower 06:26, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
