Hi Vox - hope you are well. Good work on the church pix, especially interior views of St Bartholomew's; I tried to get some 2 weeks ago when I was doing my New England Quarter photography, but it was closed and locked at that time. [edit] Renaming of articles
Hi Vox. I've noticed you often rename articles from "St. Xxxxx's Church" to "Church of Xxxxx", sometimes citing a "Naming policy". Could you point me to this naming policy as I can't find it? Thanks, A bit iffy 12:05, 4 March 2007 (UTC).
- Hi Vox: I'm afraid I agree with A bit iffy that your changes seem a bit odd; I note your response to him that you recall an admin person told you this was the case, but I can't see it anywhere as policy, and in general Wikipedia adopts the local practice which, I would suggest, is "St. Xxxxx's Church", especially outside the U.S. If there is a policy, I suggest the opposite is true - see St. Mary's Church, St. Andrew's Church and St. Peter's Church for examples. - I've just reverted your name changes for two churches in Nottingham, and now noticed this discussion; despite your excellent work on some articles (eg Brighton churches) I do think you've ridden rather roughshod over most people's naming approach! Can I suggest you do no more renaming of church articles unless a consensus as you seem to be advocating is/has been agreed. Thanks - keep up the other good work, however! Hi there. With your user name and editing record, you look like someone who might be interested in this project. We already have some other organ stops participating (a 16' Cor Anglais and Double Diapason) so we could do with some softer stops for balance! Hi, I saw your message on my Talk Page today about the Surrey Wikiproject, the page you linked to however is a new page, as the correct link should have been Wikipedia:WikiProject_Surrey. Also, why put up a "Surrey shield" image when the Surrey article itself already has a coat-of-arm image?

Hi Vox,
I have constructed a new table of significant churches in Brighton, which (once it is a bit more complete) I intend to migrate into the Churches of Brighton article. The main purpose at this stage is to give us, and anybody else who wants to work on Brighton church articles, an idea of what needs to be done. The table is currently on one of my userpage subpages: see here (ignore the other table about APTIS tickets!! :)) Let me know what you think, and especially if there are any important churches I've missed out. You were correct in changing the spelling on the Motorcycle page, but changing the spelling on the Tire page and moving it was not. You would have known this if you had read the talk pages before editing. NHammen 15:52, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello there. I'm not a frequent contributor to Wikipedia but I've added quite a few links to CPDL (or ChoralWiki). I noticed that you'd edited the article on St Paul's Cathedral and I wondered if you know anything more about Dr. Charles Macpherson, organist 1916-1927. I have been searching the web for any info on him but to no avail. I believe that he wrote an evening service (Magnificat and Nunc dimittis) in A or C for 3 treble parts. Thank you for your keen interest in this three month old user talk page issue. Why it matters, I'm not sure, but please refer to this page and to the definition of "country" to see that just because it is not a sovereign state doesn't automatically disqualified it from being called a country. However, I believe that you'll find the entire point moot because if you go back far enough into the debate as it relates to my interaction with young Patrick, you'll see that it stems from him wrongly assuming that I had asserted England's "country-ness", when in fact I had merely listed it among places I had visited. Hi Richard; I'll compose a fuller reply to your proposal tomorrow, time permitting, but in principle I would say a "qualified yes". I still think that there should be a separate BAH (sub-)project, as the scope of the Brighton and Hove sphere of articles is just too wide to cope with in any other way - just think of all the church articles we still have to do! :) - but I agree that it would make sense to have something dedicated to Sussex as well. I saw your recently-founded Wikiproject Surrey; something along those lines for Sussex would get my support, although I would still be happier to see some separation of the BAH project rather than full integration.
One thing I will say about Sussex articles generally is that the Crawley article needs serious attention. There is potentially so much to write about and refer to - really, its scope almost matches that of Brighton - and yet there is hardly anything there! I would like to dedicate some time to improving it, although I am trying to juggle Brighton stuff, spoken articles, my railway ticket articles and project, uploading images, contributing to WP:DYK and doing other fairly important things such as going to work (!). Maybe a Sussex WikiProject would help give that vague aim some structure...
Actually, this has turned into a full reply! Anyway, I'll watch out for what other people have said as well. (PS. I have taken a lot more photos of Brighton churches - not uploaded yet, though. A resounding "No" to an expansion of the Brighton project in that way, but a resounding "yes" to an entirely separate wikiproject Sussex, which I would happily join. Brighton is no longer part of Sussex technically anyway. Fork me 12:15, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Just read your reply on my userpage. I can see your point, but still feel that WP:Sussex and WP:Brighton should be entirely different entities. Ha ha - I thought you might notice these two contributions!! I managed to achieve three things in one day with a journey up the Mole Valley Line on 17th March: once a month on a Saturday, I go up to Bromley to visit a fellow railway-ticket-collecting friend, to discuss latest developments, pick up his latest "spares" to look through at home, and so on, so I did that in the afternoon; I needed to buy a ticket from the self-service machine at Belmont, pretty much the only Southern station I needed one from for my collection since the new machines were rolled out in 2004/2005; and, perhaps most importantly, I needed to visit a number of stations to get pix for Wikipedia. It was a case of jumping off one train, rushing around doing the necessary and getting on the next, so I only spent 8 minutes at Leatherhead! I have been doing this sort of thing (mainly for tickets rather than photos) for the last 10 years or so, and I must have visited Leatherhead station about 20 times, but only once have I ventured into the town centre. I have been up Box Hill about 12 times, though (I've just noticed - no photo in that article!!!). Incidentally, you asked about my camera: it's quite an old, non-SLR digital model: a Nikon Coolpix E2500, probably about 4-5 years old now. My Dad passed it to me when he upgraded to this. I never used to do much photography until I went digital; now, I carry the camera with me at all times, even to and from work. Hassocks5489 12:16, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
