[edit] Safavids
First off, the current intro at the Safavids page is a compromise after a long dispute between various users, so what's you're basically doing is disrupting consensus. Second off, there's already an ethnicity section below in the article, so there's no need to have it in the intro. Thirdly, the Safavids were not Turkish in origin, one of the main theories is that they were Azeri. Azeris are a Turkic people, and they're related to the Turks of Turkey, but they're definately not the same ethnic group. Muhabbetle. —Khoikhoi 07:03, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

- What I suggest you do before making any controversial changes to these articles, is instead first leave comments on the relevant talk pages (i.e. Talk:Ismail I and Talk:Safavid dynasty), explaining yourself. Perhaps there could be some sort of compromise you could work out with other users. Also, you are in danger of violating the three-revert rule on the Safavids page. This means that no one can revert a page more than 3 times in 24 hours. If you break it, you may be blocked from editing. Please try to take my advice and use the talk page.
