W. K. C. Guthrie

William Keith Chambers Guthrie (1st August, 1906 – 1981) was a Scottish classical scholar. He is best known for his History of Greek Philosophy, in six volumes.
He was educated at Dulwich College, and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he graduated in 1928. He became Laurence Professor of Ancient Philosophy at the University of Cambridge. He served as Master of Downing College, Cambridge from 1957 to 1972.
