I found several citations showing a cane is to be used opposite the injury or weakness. I could only find mention of personal preference, or specific balance issues suggesting holding the cane on the injured side.
The original article was written in a way to suggest the hand was dependant on the type of injury.
Can we find citable facts that would improve the article by showing specifically that the hand you use changes based on specific things? FractureTalk 05:59, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
