Wales Minor Counties Cricket Club
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wales Minor Counties Cricket Club, representing the traditional counties of Wales is the only non-English member of the Minor Counties Championship in the English domestic cricket structure.
The club is based at St Helen's, Swansea, and also plays matches around the nation at Pen-y-Pound, Abergavenny, Pontarddulais Park and Mumbles Cricket Club. [1][2]
The Minor Counties play three-day matches at a level below that of the first-class game. At present, Wales competes in the Western Division of the Minor Counties Championship. It joined the championship in 1988 after Somerset's second eleven left the competition.
