Wall Township Speedway, originally named Wall Stadium, is a race track in Wall Township, New Jersey. It opened in 1950 and has been operating ever since. It has 30 degree banking in the turns and 16 degree banking in the straightaways. It brought up racing stars Ray Evernham and Martin Truex Jr. It hosted one NASCAR Strictly Stock Series (now Nextel Cup) event in 1958. Wall Township Speedway is a member of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series. Wall Township Speedway hosted a Featherlite Modified Series in 2005 and 2006. Well known drivers that race or have raced at Wall include Jamie Tomaino, John Blewett III, Jimmie Spencer, and Richie Evans.
Since 1974, the track's signature race is the annual Turkey Derby held on Thanksgiving weekend. The race format has changed over the years, from three 50-lap features, with the best average finish in the three races winning, to the present format of two races; the first is a 100-lap feature for the SK Modified cars, an entry-level form of the car initiated by Jack Arute, Sr., at Stafford Motor Speedway. The second is another 100-lap feature for Tour-type Modifieds, for cars similar to those used in the two NASCAR Whelen Modified Tours. The end-of-season races for most classes running at Wall also take place at Turkey Derby weekend, and sometimes Nextel Cup superstars will race in the event.
