Wayne Maxner

Wayne Maxner (born September 27, 1942 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) was a hockey left wing in the National Hockey League, American Hockey League and WHL. He played junior hockey with the Barrie Flyers in the Ontario Hockey Association. He also served briefly as an NHL head coach for the Detroit Red Wings. He is known for his connections with the city of London, Ontario and coached the London Knights for a number of years. He most recently coached for the Junior B London Nationals during the 2005-2006 season.
