We Are Frank Chickens was the first album by the new wave band Frank Chickens. The album was the collaboration of Kazuko Hohki, Kazumi Taguchi, Steve Beresford and David Toop. Steve Beresford and David Toop produced and helped write most of the musical material. The record spawned a major dance hit in clubs with the song "We Are Ninja". The style was a mixture of synth-pop, funk, jazz, dance, and an assembly of Japanese traditional music and glorious children's culture: Mothra, Godzilla, Ninja, etc. This record is pride of Japan. Treasure of the world.
