[edit] Welcome
Hello, my name is Weatherman90, because I like weather, and because I refuse to abandon my internet nickname that I chose over 6 years ago. I have worked a lot on pages for albums, and have created over 200 of them, among the artists that I have created all albums for are Barry Manilow, Heart, KC and the Sunshine Band, Kool and the Gang, and Nazareth. In addition, I worked with IFD, AFD, and disambiguation link repair. I am also especially proud of my contributions to Loverboy. See the Before and After. I'm not so active these days, but I still have a Wikipedia article as my homepage so I will notice if you leave a message on my talk page.
For anyone inquiring about the Deathpool that was formerly located here, it has now been moved to http://weatherman90.googlepages.com/.
[edit] Music
Main Article: Music
I have 800 songs in my iTunes library. I acquire about five new songs in my library per week - at this rate, my 4 GB iPod will be at its maximum capacity on January 8, 2008. As a result, songs have to be very good to get into my "exclusive" library - and I also don't like sifting through songs that I don't care for. I used Wikipedia and many other sources like allmusic to find the year of release for every song. The results are as follows (3-23-2007):
The most songs in a single year? Well, its now a tie between 1982 and 1978 with 52 each. The results conclude that I like music from the 70s and 80s - a lot. I also enjoy listening to smooth jazz and anything by Barry Manilow. As you can see, I isolate myself from most new music - new releases by old artists is the only reason you see a 35 for the 2000s.
[edit] Bands
To name some of my favorites:
ABBA, ACDC, Aerosmith, B52's, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Barry Manilow, The Bee Gees, Billy Idol, Billy Joel, Blondie, Boston, The Cars, Def Leppard, Dire Straits, Dokken(Will see on April 21), Donnie Iris, The Doobie Brothers, The Doors, Duran Duran, Eagles, Eddie Money, Electric Light Orchestra, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Foreigner, George Thorogood, Great White(Will see on April 21), Heart, Journey, Judas Priest, KC and the Sunshine Band, Kiss, Kool and the Gang, Led Zeppelin, Loverboy, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Missing Persons, Motley Crue, Olivia Newton John, Pat Benatar, Pink Floyd, Poison, Ratt, Robert Palmer, Roy Orbison, Rush(Could Possibly see on Sept 9), Scorpions, Starship, Steely Dan, Steve Miller, Supertramp, Survivor, Tom Petty, Toto, Van Halen, Warrant, Winger, The Who, ZZ Top
I have seen the bold artists live in concert. All-time favorite band? Heart - Ann Wilsons' vocals are truly breathtaking, and their songs are just irresistable. They started out with a harder classic rock which gave way to a polished power ballad/pop style in the 1980s with big hair and all. Both styles were great - it is impossible to say whether I like the 1970s Heart or the 1980s Heart better.
