Wellsville Mountains
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Wellsville Mountains, located in Utah on the north end of the Wasatch Mountains, have the distinction of being the steepest mountain range in the lower 48 states. According to the Bear River Association of Governments, the rise to run ratio makes this mountain range the steepest in North America. [1] While only moderately tall, they are particularly narrow. Box Elder (9,372') and the Wellsville Cone (9,356') are its two highest peaks. [dubious — see talk page]
