West Genesee High School (commonly called West Genny or WG), is an American public high school in Camillus, New York serving ninth through twelfth grade students. The schoolis part of the West Genesee Central School District.

The school enrolled 1,662 students in the 2004-2005 school year. It is located in the western suburbs of Syracuse, New York and is composed of 98% white (non-Hispanic) students according to the West Genesee Report Card. In both 2003 and 2005 the school was recognized by Newsweek as one of the "Best High Schools in America." [1]
West Genesee is renowned for its marching band and lacrosse programs. The marching band is the most decorated organization in New York State Field Band Conference history, capturing 29 of the last 33 championships, including 15 in a row between 1989 and 2003.[2] The lacrosse team, coached by hall-of-famer Mike Messere, is widely recognized as one of the premier high school lacrosse teams in the United States, finishing the season 1st in the national high school rankings 8 times since 1990. The team has won 14 New York State championships, including four consecutive between 2002 and 2005, and 26 Section III championships [3] [4].

The 2006-2007 production was "The Man Who Came To Dinner" and "Oliver!" the 2005-2006 shows were "Oklahoma!" and "Our Town." Spring '06 saw the production of West Genesee's first student-run show, "Hobo Heaven: Entertainment Was Never So Poor." It was written by students Ryan Weller and Joseph Novembrini and directed by Brian Maxsween, all members of the class of 2006. The choreography was done by 2008 graduate Meghan McCartney.
