"Where I Wanna Be" is the self-titled 3rd Single from the album Where I Wanna Be by Donell Jones. It charted at #29 on the Hot 100 chart and #2 on the R&B chart. It was also a huge hit on Urban Radio and Urban AC Radio. The song was self written & produced by Donell Jones. It's considered as his signature ballad. The song was based on Donell's own personal relationship problems he was going through at the time.

Although, not released publicly on any magazine or online websites. According to many R&B and Hip Hop lovers the song is widely considered as one of the best R&B ballads of this decade, due to the smooth vocals and precision by Donell and for the relatable subject matter of the song.

The video was directed by acclaimed music video director Little X. The video was shot in Toronto, Canada in February 2000. It features an apperance by famous fasion designer Karl Kani.
