Talk:White-collar worker
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The article does a good job of addressing how the nature of "white-collar work" has changed, but I don't think it's necessary to continually restate "white-collar workers don't necessarily have to wear white shirts" everywhere. A single explanation of the term's historical basis and an explanation that changing work environments have made the term less _literally_ correct over time would be sufficient, I think. I'll have a go at a bit of a rewrite, unless anyone thinks the clothing aspect needs as much focus as it gets. JPrice 21:29, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
Isn't white-collar a U.S. slang or colloquial term? If so, why doesn't the article say so? --200.44.7.192 04:39, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
