Whinmoor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Whinmoor is an area of some council houses but mainly affluent private estates on the outer edge of north-east Leeds, West Yorkshire. The area is 8 km (5 miles) to the north east of the city centre, adjacent to Seacroft.
It is often unfairly lumped in with Seacroft, which is used as a catch-all term for the extensive council estates of east Leeds. It is a community-driven area although due to its nature as a Leeds suburb it has inevitably lost some personality.
Whinmoor is also the eastern terminus for First Leeds overground services 4 and 56.
