Civic center is 1/2 mile east and a block north of Antelope Road. There is the sheriff's office, social service center, and the White City branch of the Jackson County Library.
Community Health Center is on Division Street.
VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics, formerly the VA Domicilliary, is at 8495 Crater Lake Avenue.
White City Industrial Park is west of Highway 62 and is southern Oregon's largest factory area. On its west side is the Nature Conservancy's Agate Desert Preserve. This area of vernal pools contains what is perhaps the most northerly habitat of fairy shrimp. Also, north and south of the Industrial Park lies the two segments of the Denman Wildlife Area[1][2], a state-run preserve. Ths southern segment features several small lakes where waterfowl can often be seen. Some hunting for upland birds is allowed here. The northern segment lies along the Rogue River and Little Butte Creek. Much of this is bottomland and contains remnants of the World War II Camp White army training base. There are several ammunition storage areas there.
TouVelle State Recreation Site is located along Table Rock Road where it crosses the Rogue River. It features boat landings and picnic grounds. Trails lead from here into the Denman Wildlife Area.
Along Oregon State Route 140, the Lake-of-the-Woods Highway, one can find, near the Lakeview Road crossing, the Hoover Ponds County Park. Then comes the White City Sports Park. Farther east is the Stone Ridge Golf Course. A firing range is located south of the sports park.
In 2005 property values in White City climbed steeply. New home and street construction was visible everywhere. By 2006 the increase in land value had slowed somewhat, but new construction continues.
