"White Flag" was the first single from Dido's follow-up album, Life for Rent.
The single fared very well, peaking at number one in Australia, number two in the UK, number twelve in New Zealand, number thirty in Canada, and became Dido's second top twenty single in the U.S., peaking at number eighteen.
"White Flag" is the second biggest hit of Dido's career (behind "Thank You"). It is considered one of her signature songs, and helped Life for Rent sell over eight million copies worldwide. It was #1 in Argentina for two weeks. [1]
The song was nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance on the 47th Annual Grammy Awards, losing to "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera.
The video for the song features an appearance by actor David Boreanaz.
