[edit] Album information
Unlike the movie, the Who's That Girl soundtrack became an instant international smash hit, with the title track peaking at number one in the United States, UK, Puerto Rico, among others. The album's second single, "Causing a Commotion," became another top five hit (peaking at #2 in the US). The third song released from the album was the minor hit "The Look of Love" which was release outside of North America and charted in the Top 10 in the UK.
Although Who's That Girl is generally regarded as a Madonna album, as she was the main performer (contributing the most songs to the disc, four in total)—the soundtrack also features five other music acts, therefore the album is not an official part of Madonna's discography. In fact, Duncan Faure's "24 Hours" and Michael Davidson's "Turn It Up" were also released as singles.
