The Wichita Titans are an amateur baseball team based in Wichita, Kansas. The team plays in the River City Victory League, a National Baseball Congress affiliate. The RCVL is comprised of players over the age of 18, many of whom are college players or recent college graduates. From 2003-2006, the Titans earned four consecutive tournament berths in the NBC World Series, played at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in Wichita. Under the leadership of veteran manager Marty Hess, the Titans overall team record was a remarkable 90-18 during that time period. In the 2005 NBC World Series, the Titans captured two victories, including a 4-2 win over the Mississippi State Champion Greenwood Vikings. |
