[edit] Category maintenance
Many biology categories are in a bad way. They tend to fill up with articles on minor topics that are better placed in subcategories (or sub-subcategories, etc.).
(Statistics compiled January 20, 2007)
- Category:Biology - with over 50 subcategories, it could use some reorganization. It also accumulates articles rapidly, so it needs regular attention.
- Category:Anatomy - about 180 articles; could do with some trimming.
- Category:Biochemistry - almost 600 articles; desperately needs trimming.
- Category:Botany - over 200 articles
- Category:Developmental biology - over 200 articles
- Category:Diseases - over 500 articles
- Category:Ecology - with almost 50 subcategories, plus over 400 articles, this category is massively overfilled.
- Category:Evolutionary biology - about 200 articles, could do with some trimming
- Category:Genetics - close to 300 articles
- Category:Medicine - close to 200 articles
- Category:Molecular biology - over 200 articles
- Category:Neuroscience - over 200 articles
