Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to Gospel music. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list there.

This project is aimed to improve articles and lists relating to Gospel music, its sub-genres, and its artists and groups. See the scope to learn more.

Most articles about Gospel artists have poor structure. As of now, most of the pages have hardly any info about the artist's personal life. If it does, it is simply mixed along with all the other information.

The proposed structure guideline is the following:

Some info about how he or she started, major relevant events, and general artist bio, related to the music (personal bio is included below). If there is enough information, sub-headings should be considered:

This is an OPTIONAL section. If there is not enough info to make a section, it should be

===Music===
The style of music, important albums, etc should be expressed here. This is also OPTIONAL
with the same condition as above.

===Influences===
The effect the subject has had on the music industry (specifically Gospel or as a whole), other music styles, popular culture, or other noteworthy contributions.

==Personal life==
Write info about the artists' personal life. For groups of more than one person, keep this section limited or nonexistent, keeping details on the respective group member's article.

Similar to the Collaboration of the week, but on a smaller scale, you might want to "adopt" an article. This would involve doing the research, writing, and picture-taking (if possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things too, but the idea is to find a focus for a while, to try and build up the number of quality articles the Project has produced.
