William H. Hudnut III

William H. Hudnut III (born October 17, 1932-) was a four term Republican mayor of Indianapolis from 1976-1992. He also represented the Indianapolis area in Congress from 1971-1973.
Ironically, the man whose negotiation with then-Colts owner Robert Irsay brought the Indianapolis Colts to Indy from Baltimore now lives in the Baltimore area. After his tenure as Indianapolis mayor, Hudnut also served as the mayor of Chevy Chase, MD.
