William Quinn (phreaker)

William Quinn (also known as decoder) is an Eastchester, New York phone phreak who is best known for co-hosting the phreaking internet radio show Default Radio. He also created internet radio show The MindWAR and is credited with creating internet TV show DougTV.
Quinn was indicted in July of 2004 on charges of accessing Verizon's Direct Access Test Unit telephone numbers without authorization. He is currently unplugged from the scene.
The information needed to access the DATU was partially provided by NYPHONEJACKS, who obtained the information while an employee of Bell Atlantic / Verizon. NYPHONEJACKS became disgruntled after an illegal layoff on December 19, 2002. He also has been charged with computer trespass for allegedly accessing DATU from his home phone line, although he denies any wrongdoing.
