William R. Kanne

William R. Kanne worked on Chicago Pile One along with Enrico Fermi and Leo Szilard. He invented the Kanne Chamber (patent no. 2,599,922), a way of monitoring gas for radioactivity. The patent was filed on 12 October 1944.
