William Ure

William Kenneth Ure (born:December 22, 1913 died:February 4, 2001) was a politician from Alberta, Canada.
William ran for the first time in the Red Deer electoral district as a member for the Social Credit party in the 1955 Alberta general election. He was defeated by Conservative William Cameron Kirby.
William was elected the very next provincial election in 1959. This time he deafed Kirby by a wide margin. He held the seat for the governing Social Credit party. He served 3 terms in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta before retireing in 1971.
