Willoughby Goddard

Willoughby Goddard (born 4 July 1926 in Bicester, Oxfordshire) is a British actor whose trademark rotund figure has been well known on television and in film for over 40 years. He played Mr. Bumble in two versions of Charles Dickens's Oliver Twist - a 1962 television miniseries, and the original Broadway production of the musical Oliver!. He also appeared in the television series "William Tell" in the late 1950s as the villain Gessler.
