Talk:Wink Technologies
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page for Wink was created as a starting point and was not yet complete when it was tagged for deletion. Someone had posted an external link to Wink on a different article and I wanted to remove that link and replace it with an internal link to a Wikipedia article about Wink to improve the quality of the referencing article, and to satisfy references to Wink on other Wikipedia articles. Wink is a new, but increasingly recognized and innovative company providing social search and people search across social networks. Because of Wink's involvement and voice in sectors that are well covered by Wikipedia, an article for Wink is justified. More substantiated references will be added. Thanks. I have added additional material from the company and from third parties, as well as copyedited existing material in order to satisfy the [criteria guideline] for inclusion, including several external references and improving the neutral point of view. The company is still small but an argument for it's inclusion at this point is the potential significance of social search and the application of user generated content in social applications, which is of particular interest to the Wikipedia audience. I have tried not to promote a certain point of view on theses issues, but rather to link to wikipedia articles and external articles on the subject. Having taken these steps I am removing the prodwarning. If there is additional need for improvement, I hope that can be accomplished through the talk page and there will no longer be a need to mark the article for speedy deletion.
