WIN Television WA (WIN WA) is a regional television network operating in regional Western Australia, servicing all areas except metropolitan Perth, in competition with GWN.

Prior to WIN Television's expansion into Western Australia, GWN was the sole commercial network operating in regional areas, and carried programming from the Seven, Nine and Ten networks. In March 1999, WIN WA started broadcasting in Western Australia, taking programming from Nine and Ten while GWN became affiliated solely with Seven.
Despite having strong relationships with the Nine Network, WIN WA currently operates out of Ten's Perth station buildings, due to constant fighting between WIN and Eva Presser, who co-owns nearly all of Sunraysia Television. This company owns and operates Nine Perth. WIN owns 40% of Sunraysia Television, acquired when WIN purchased ENT Limited. As a result of the fighting, WIN WA broadcasts Ten Perth's 5pm news bulletin, and not Nine's 6pm bulletin. WIN WA also no longer broadcasts any of the Nine Network news bulletins.
The history of GWN as a solus operator has limited WIN's ability for success in the region. WIN Television rates highly in most markets, but has run second to GWN in every ratings survey to date. The second ratings survey of 2005 placed WIN WA with only a 38.3% commercial audience share in prime time, compared to GWN with 61.7%.[2]

[edit] Ten News
Ten News Perth is broadcasted at 5pm weeknights. Due to the arrangement between Network Ten and WIN WA, National Nine News is not aired unlike other states in WIN's footprint. Ten News Perth heavily promote their exclusive affiliation with WIN WA by using a "Statewide" slogan. Weekend editions of Sports Tonight are also aired throughout the state.

On Monday November 13th 2006, WIN News commenced for the first time in Western Australia, expanding WIN's local news commitment. It is presented at 6pm weeknights with Kerryn Johnston leading the bulletin, Amy Taylor presenting sports news and Peter Kapsanis presenting the weather.

Each reporter uses broadband technology to transmit news reports back to the WIN Television studios in Wollongong. It is understood that all editing and presentation takes place there, and broadcasted live to regional WA via satellite.
WIN Television WA is still an analogue service, therefore WIN News is transmitted in analogue format with an aspect ratio of 4:3.

WIN News Late Edition is simply a repeat of the 6pm bulletin. The scheduled time for Late Edition varies, but it is generally aired around midnight.
