Wink Williams (born January 1, 1943) is an American actor, singer, dancer, and talk show host.
Wink Williams is best known for his nine year run on the Home Shopping Network as host of the The Wink Williams Show. The late night talker was infamous for the z-grade celebrities and has beens that landed on the guest list and was the first of the genre to stock the green room with a plentiful supply of booze to get the guest loosened up before airtime. The show ran from 1982-1991 and was cancelled due to low ratings. Accidental nudity and humiliating revelations was a staple of the series that led to the shock talk genre. [1]
Wink Williams got his start in Vegas working the strip introducing Joey Bishop. Later he worked as gag player for Wayland Flowers and Madame. [2]
