Wirth Lake (Oregon)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wirth Lake is in northwestern Oregon, near Salem. It was supposed to be a swimming area and park with rental sailboats, but the ducks contaminated it so badly all commercial activity was halted in 1976 for health reasons. The first time in almost 30 years that more than one sailboat has plied the waters of Lake Wirth was during the first Puddle Duck Racer event, held in April, 2005.
