From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Wittunga Botanic Garden is in Adelaide, South Australia, and is run by the state government along with the main Adelaide Botanic Gardens. It is located on Shepherds Hill Road, Blackwood, in the foothills. Beginning as a formal English garden at the home of Edwin Ashby in 1901, it changed over the years to include South African and native Australian plants. In 1965 it was donated to the government and is today run as a public park, popular for picnicking.
