WIXY

WIXY is an FM country music radio station licensed to Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. Though the call letters have been used, off an on, in other cities, this WIXY launched in 1992 and immediately became an instant hit.
Today WIXY-FM is Champaign-Urbana's dominant station with consistent #1 ratings in the 12+ and Adults 25-54 demographics. In addition, it has been nominated for, and won, numerous Country Music Association Small Market Radio Station of the Year awards.
WIXY-FM's success is due, in part, to the "Holstein & Company Morning Show." This family-friendly, local and topical show launched in 1996 and has won numerous state and national awards, including Country Music Association Personality of the Year.
WIXY-FM is owned by Saga Communications.
