WLYV "Reedemer Radio" is an AM radio station located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The station operates on the AM radio frequency of 1450 kHz and airs Catholic programming for the Northeast/East Central Indiana region. It was purchased by Fort Wayne Catholic Radio Inc. in 2005. WLYV at one time had a Top 40 format which competed with Drake-formatted WMEE-AM 1380 in the late 60s and early 70s. WMEE won the ratings war and WLYV switched to "Lively Country" in 1974 only to be beat again by WQHK,the late 70s/80s incarnation of AM-1380 after WMEE moved its call letters and format to FM. Golfer Jack Nicklaus owned it for a number of years and several format flips with it. Christian Broadcast Systems Ltd. based in Flint, MI (formerly Midwest Broadcasting) owned it afterwards with a gospel format before the 2005 sale to Fort Wayne Catholic Radio.
