Wollaston (MBTA station)

Wollaston is a station on the Red Line subway at the intersection of Beale Street and Newport Avenue in Quincy, Massachusetts. It serves Quincy's Wollaston neighborhood. There is an on-site 550 space parking lot. It was opened on September 1, 1971 as the second of three stations in the original South Shore Extension.

Until January 1, 2007, Wollaston station was the furthest station from Boston for which the standard subway fare will get you all the way to Alewife. Quincy Center, Quincy Adams, and Braintree all charged a double fare for entrance. This changed with the 2007 fare increase.
